Cupid PR Newsletter | November Edition

The Christmas Rush Issue: How to Keep Your PR Sharp When Everyone’s Shouting

We’ll hold our hands up, we skipped the October edition.

Between client launches, bar openings, and beauty events, we were too busy doing PR to write about it. But we’re back, and November’s already shaping up to be one of the most fast-paced months of the year for brands.

What We’ve Been Up To

The Cupid PR newsroom’s been buzzing lately:

Feeling. — Wellness Launch Event

We’ve been working behind the scenes on the PR for Feeling., a new wellness and lifestyle brand focused on helping people feel more balanced through science-backed transdermal patches.

We’re helping shape the brand’s next chapter, so watch this space for more exciting updates soon.

9inety 6ix Bar — Opening in Manchester this December

We’re leading the full PR launch for Manchester’s newest bar on First Street — think games, cocktails, and that unmistakable Manc energy. If you’re in the city centre on the 5th come down for the opening!

Beauty Experts

We’re working with an established beauty and wellbeing brand, rolling out expert-led campaigns across hair, beauty and wellness — landing features in national and international press with reactive commentary and search-led storytelling. So a lot of this newsletter is aimed at the beauty industry this month, but as always it can be replicated to most niches.

Digital PR Focus: Navigating the Christmas Rush

The next six weeks are a test of speed, timing, and relevance. Journalists are swamped, inboxes are full, and the only stories cutting through now are seasonal, smart, and perfectly timed.

Here’s how to keep your brand visible:

1. Shift from hero campaigns to high-impact reactives.

If your big campaign isn’t already live, press pause.
Focus instead on newsworthy reactives that tap into what audiences are doing right now:

  • Festive searches (beauty, gifting, spending, wellness resets)

  • Consumer behaviour (how we shop, what we regret buying, what trends are emerging)

  • Expert takes on stress, budgets, or social burnout

2. Jump on Black Friday — while it’s still hot.

This is the window for brands with products, experiences, or expert advice that can slot into roundups and shopping coverage.
Think:

  • “Black Friday beauty steals”

  • “Wellness gifts worth buying before the rush”

  • “What’s actually worth it in this year’s sales”

Quick tip: Journalists need these stories now. Don’t wait until the week of — get quotes, stats, or product details ready this week.

3. Make yourself useful to gift guide editors.

It’s still open season for:

  • Under £50 gifts

  • Stocking fillers

  • Sustainable gifting

  • Wellness, tech, and travel ideas

Your best chance? Provide an expert angle alongside your product — not just a link and RRP.

4. Prep for the post-Christmas wave.

While everyone’s winding down, smart brands are already pitching January stories.
Start shaping:

  • “New Year, New You” commentary

  • Financial resolutions

  • Beauty, wellness, or lifestyle resets
